Madeline - Black Velvet

Madeline - Black Velvet

This is the best record I have heard in 2011 so far since Cock and Ball Torture aren't around to dethrone it. Recommended if you like: not being a piece of shit.

Mala In Se - Self Titled + EP

Mala In Se's self titled album is punishing directly from the start. Their eclectic blend of sludge/hardcore will take you on a musical journey, grinding you through an intense, chaotic battlefield of sounds, and then suddenly drop you off into a swirling, ambient trip through the cosmos of your own mind, all while maintaining a down to earth, punky feeling to it the whole way through. Basically, the songs remain fresh and continually growing without going over the top, unlike many of their musical peers. Definitely worth a listen, and it even comes packaged with a free 2 song EP not originally conjoined with the album. Enjoy!

Extinction Agenda - Demo 2005

Extinction Agenda are some fast, stripped down thrash band,
and does it absolutely fantastically. This Demo
has 3 (higher than normal Demo quality) songs, and will
certainly satisfy your needs for a little fastness!

Golem - Dreamweaver

Golem are a Death Metal band that combine melody
and brutality with completely ominous, crushingly heavy
guitar riffs and songwriting. They definitely have a certain
uniqueness not often found in this kind of music, and
are very much worth giving a listen!

The Berzerker - Dissimulate

The Berzerker are an insane industrial death metal/grindcore
band, that no other band I've heard really sounds like. They're
probably been a huge influence on cyber-grind bands, but
are wayy better than 90% of them. Their drummer (yes
that is actually a drummer) uses drum triggers
much better than most better than most, making them
sound completely unique and very machine
like. Over all it's just a great cd to blast through.

Cheap Girls / Lemuria split 7"

One song by Cheap Girls, 2 by Lemuria, all killer. Best non-grind split i've heard in a long time. Bought this recently from No Idea, came on sweet blueberry yogurt colored vinyl, so if you like it, maybe pick it up for yourself. Or don't your not robbing my ass.

Damnation - Destructo Evangelia

Damnation is a black metal band that sounds a lot
like 80's "classic" black metal, with more thrash and punk
influences than the genre usually has now. Even though this
album was released in 2004, it was about 15 years in the making,
and has a really great classic vibe. One of my favorite black metal
albums in my collection.

Apophis - Heliopolis

A while back I was spending some time searching through
Amazon.com when I came across this little gem. Upon listening
to the samples I knew I had to purchase this cd immediately,
and then upon receiving, listened to it in my car for like a week
straight. Apophis play a more old school style of death metal, filled
with equal parts brutality and melody, creating a great atmosphere
not normally found in death metal. I don't really get why they're
rather unknown, and honestly see this as a must have!

Rwake - Voices of Omens

Rwake play a rather eclectic style of ultra heavy Sludge,
drawing influences from Doom, Death, Black, Psychedelic,
Post, Stoner, and other various forms of metal. With eerie
guitars, swirling electronics, droning bass, crushing drum
work and multiple layered vocal tracks this makes
for one beautifully chaotic and insanely solid album.

get it.

Dodsferd - Suicide and The Rest of Your Kind Will Follow

Dodsferd plays a brand of atmospheric "depressive" black
metal, but I think it's really more majestic sounding than
depressing. These two tracks (clocking in at over a half out
together) will send you into a mystical dream world deep inside
your mind, leaving you with chills down your spine, and
forgetting anything else existed, just like this kind of music
should.

White Skull - Tales From The North

White Skull is an Italian thrashy Power Metal band that has
been around since the late 80's, has one of the
gnarliest female vocalists ever, and is probably one
of the best bands in this genre! A must
have for any fan of metal!

Korova - Demonstration #7089

Woot! I'm back! Thanks to my friend Alex for
motivation to actually post some new stuff..

and what better way to come back than with this long
overdue Korova cassette posting. Their singer Ian sent
me this like 4 months ago, and unfortunately
I just kind of forgot about it.. but I finally got around to re-discovering
it, and realized it's pretty awesome! The A side of this tape is some
songs they recorded that are much for grind-y, raw, and aggressive
than their previous cd, and it's definitely step up, and the B side is
a couple of tracks taken from a live show that only help portray that
aggression. So if you're in the mood for some raw hardcore punk,
this a great way to get your fix!

xWolf! Where?!x - Thank God It's Not Winter CASS

This cassette was recorded during the winter of '09-'10 and released in the summer of 2010. I realize the title doesn't make much sense anymore. But it will in a couple months. It was released in an edition of 100 numbered copies and I was going to wait until it was sold out to post it online, but I think I sold like 4 so fuck it.
