Unfortunately this blog is dead. I've been locked out of my mediafire account and all of my links have been deleted. If a new hosting site shows up that I think will work for something like this I may start a new blog, which I would link here, but with this insane inability to post even the rarest, out of press records without them being taken down, that will probably be a distant future. Apoligies to everyone who sent me links to upload and I never did, but I actually have been locked out of my account for a couple months already. Everyone should check out Joe 4 here or here, cuz they rule and I was never able to post the stuff they sent me, and everyone should check out the stuff on Phratry Records, who have also sent me a bunch of great stuff. Thanks for the visits and thanks for all the submissions.

Disguised as Birds - Black Circles/New Demons

Another solid album sent to me from Phatry Records, same
label as Mala in Se, and The United Sons of Toil.
A little less chaotic than the aforementioned bands,
Disguised as Birds play a blend of Progressive, Sludgy,
Post-Rock. The album stays heavy while still maintaining a
solid groove, and some fantastic layered vocals. Definitely stays interesting.

The United Sons of Toil - When the Revolution Comes, Everything Will Be Beautiful

This has been a much too long overdue post. This album showed up in my email too long ago for me to even remember, and for some dumb reason I've just been to lazy to share it's greatness. Many apologizes to The United Sons of Toil, who's chaotic blend of math-punk keeps them ever interesting. It can be heavy and gruff, filled with screams and sludge, and at the same time strangely sweet and melodic. You can really feel the amount of passion put into this album, and I think it has paid off. Thanks guys for the submission, and sorry again about the terrible wait!

Madeline - Black Velvet

Madeline - Black Velvet

This is the best record I have heard in 2011 so far since Cock and Ball Torture aren't around to dethrone it. Recommended if you like: not being a piece of shit.

Mala In Se - Self Titled + EP

Mala In Se's self titled album is punishing directly from the start. Their eclectic blend of sludge/hardcore will take you on a musical journey, grinding you through an intense, chaotic battlefield of sounds, and then suddenly drop you off into a swirling, ambient trip through the cosmos of your own mind, all while maintaining a down to earth, punky feeling to it the whole way through. Basically, the songs remain fresh and continually growing without going over the top, unlike many of their musical peers. Definitely worth a listen, and it even comes packaged with a free 2 song EP not originally conjoined with the album. Enjoy!
